Gymnastics Level 2
1. Squat on, jump off with tuck jump, box or horse. Jump feet between hands. Push off to jump upwards and forwards in Tuck shape. Soft landing.
2. A Handstand forward roll. Kick to a good handstand, keep arms straight and tip forwards. Tuck head in and roll forwards.
3. A Backward roll. The roll should travel backwards over the head with a strong push from both hands from the floor.
4. Half lever straight or straddled.
5. Show splits side or box. Body must be held straight, shoulders square, back knee turned underneath, front knee faces ceiling.
6. With a partner show a matched or mirrored balance. Facing partner repeat identical balances. Or balances as shown in a mirror.
7. Cartwheel on floor. Place foot, hand, hand, foot. Make pattern wide and even.
8. Split leap. With a few steps or from standing. Wide split. Body upright. Legs stretched.
9. With a partner throw and catch a Ball or Hoop. Practice with two hands and with either.
10. Cartwheel quarter turn off bench or box top. Cartwheel position, turn second hand in to ¼ turn body, your feet together to land.
