Gymnastics Level 4
1. Jump from a box and show straddle shape before landing. From standing, feet together, body straight, upward jump from box, straddle legs, land feet together.
2. A Headstand with knees bent. Form a triangle on floor, hands and head. Knees bent push up to headstand.
3. A Forward roll. Head well tucked in so that roll is on back of the head. Reach forward with hands to stand.
4. Frog Balance. Inside legs are pressed firmly against upper arms.
5. Japana, flat back, chest to floor, legs at 90 degrees. Keep back flat, arms above the head, lower chest to floor.
6. With partner, support a piked straddle shape. Body must be kept in front support and lifted to pike straddle.
7. Bunny jump from side to side moving along bench. Hands grasp each side of the bench and move forwards after each jump.
8. Stag Leap. From standing or with 2 or 3 steps, front leg bent, back leg stretched.
9. Rotations around waist x 5 (hula hoops). With smooth hip rotation keep the hoop circling.
10. Jump upwards half turn. Use arms to help upward movement and turning action.
6 out of 10 moves to be performed. When you have completed level 4, move onto level 3, another step closer to level 1 where you can obtain your medal in the BG Proficiency Awards.
