Gymnastics Level 6
1. Jump upwards and forwards from a box top, land in plié. Upwards jump showing good posture in the air, land on toes with slight knee bend.
2. Single leg balance on a box top. Leg can be lifted in any direction, keep body upright, fix eyes above head height.
3. Rock backwards and forwards to stand. Keep well rounded in rock, reach arms forward to stand.
4. Roll sideways on floor, from dish to arch to dish shapes. Keep well stretched and only slight lift of arms and legs throughout.
5. Show and hold piked “V” sit, with hand support. Hands support behind the body, keep back straight, stretched legs.
6. From front support lower and push up, repeat in back support. Bend arms to lower straight body, stretch and keep body shape.
7. From front support, jump to crouch the jump to stand. Good body shape, jump feet towards hands then stand with upward jump.
8. Skip backwards with rope. This can be single time, one jump per turn or doublewith rebound in between turns.
9. With partner roll and catch a Ball or Hoop. Bend knees swing arm smoothly to roll ball along the floor. Stand sideways, hold hoop with first hand, push with fingers of second hand.
10. Walk backwards along bench, stop, turn and dismount. Walk on toes, keep good posture, turn on toes and jump off with soft landing.
6 out of 10 moves to be performed. When you have completed level6, move on to level 5, another step closer to level 1 where you can obtain your medal in the BG Proficiency Awards.
