Gymnastics Level 7
1. From standing, jump upwards to land in plie. Land with slight knee bend. Take weight through toes to heels.
2. Balance on one foot and hold. Keep body upright. Use arms to help balance.
3. Rock backwards and forwards in a tucked shape. Bend knees to your chest. Hold knees and rock gently on rounded back.
4. Lying on the floor, show dished and Arched shapes. Dish, arms raised slightly off the floor. Back pushed to the floor. Body stretched. Arch, lift arms and legs slightly off the floor bending in the upper part of the body.
5. Sit in a straddle with good posture. Back straight, head up, legs in straddle, knees and ankles stretched.
6. Front and Back support lower on to floor. Body stretched, head in line with body, bend elbows and lower gently. Back support fingers point away towards feet.
7. From crouch, weight on hands Bunny jump. Hands flat on floor, shoulder width apart, bend knees and jump weight on hands.
8. Skip forwards with rope. Skipping should be on the toes. When standing on the rope the ends should reach the armpits.
9. Bounce and catch a ball three times. Try with two hands, then one, using left and right hands. The ball should be pushed towards the ground.
10. Walk along a bench full turn and dismount. Walk on toes, body with good posture, turn on toes, with bent knees, jump off land softly.
6 out of 10 moves to be performed. When you have completed level 7, move on to level 6, another step closer to level 1 where you can obtain your medal in the BG Proficiency Awards.
