Sports Funding

The following grant aid and other support is currently available from Ballymena Borough Council:

Sports Club Grant Aid Scheme

We want to fund activities under this Scheme which will:

enable as many people as possible, especially young people, to take up sport.
enable as many people as possible to remain life-long participants in sport.
enable all those who wish to improve to reach their optimum level of achievement.

Ballymena Sporting Excellence Support Scheme

This Scheme aims to give recognition to sports persons, including coaches or officials, from the Borough of Ballymena who have attained International level or are National Champions in their chosen sports.

Touring Clubs/Individuals

The Council also recognizes and acknowledges the important civic role of Clubs and individuals touring outside of Northern Ireland. A modest corporate promotional pack by way of assistance and support to Touring Clubs/individuals is available at any time.
