The People’s Park

The People’s Park has a lot to offer its many visitors throughout the year. The Park boasts a well-equipped children’s play area, tennis courts, bowling Green, picnic areas and toilets.

 

The People’s Park offers secure surroundings for a family visit with the Parks Pavilion resting at the centre of the site overlooking a large lake, home to a large range of wild ducks and geese.

 

The Facility offers a wide range of snacks as well as a little something for the duck and geese.


During the summer months the Park becomes a hive of activity and plays host to major art events. Art in the Park is an annual outdoor children’s art festival packed with free events for all ages including street theatre, dance events, live music and workshops. Music in the Park features all kinds of music from Pop to Brass and everything in between.

 

The Park is also the venue for the Teddy Toddle walk, this clearly marked walking route is available throughout the year providing young children the ideal safe location for a ’walk in the park’.
Within the pavilion a private meeting room is available for rental. The room offers the ideal setting for business meetings, training days or birthday parties.


Hungry folks & birds can enjoy a snack. Vending facilities available for humans & ‘duck’s choice’ for the birds in the Park Dam.
