Ballymena Borough offers a wide range of walks that cater for all levels of fitness, ability and experience.

Buttermilk Bridge

Buttermilk Bridge

A 2.4 km circular route along the Braid River, the Knockan Road and the Main Street in Broughshane.

Start & Finish - Houstons Mill, Broughshane.

Enjoy a circular walk over the volcanic plug of Slemish Mountain and enjoy the summit views. (2 Km)

Two walks, both circular within the 150-acre (60.7ha) site at the ecos millennium environmental centre.(3.3 & 1Km)

This walk takes in public rights of way, a short section on a minor road and a riverside path along the bank of the River Maine. (3.4 Km)

Maine Riverside Walk

A beautiful linear walk alongside the River Maine going from Cullybackey Main Street to the Galgorm Manor Hotel. (3 Km)

Start & Finish - Cullybackey or Galgorm.

Motte and Bailey Walk

Motte and Bailey Walk

A short, riverside and parkland walk (steep in parts). (3Km)

The People’s Park

A safe short walk within the grounds of the park suitable for children and adults. (1Km)

Two circular trails in Portglenone Forest. (1.7 & 2.3 Km)

Skerry Trail

Skerry Trail

The walk follows a scenic circular route on minor roads and a public right of way around Skerry Rock in Newtowncrommelin. (3.9 Km)

The Drum

The Drum

A very scenic, though steep, walk through a young woodland above Cargan village in the Antrim Hills. (3 Km)

Start & Finish - Skerry East Road carpark.

Tullaghgarley Bridge

Tullaghgarley Bridge

A circular route encompassing a demesne, riverside path and public paths. (5.6 Km)

Start & Finish -Galgorm Castle Golf Club.

Pennybridge Walk

A pleasant circular route through the open spaces of Ballee in Ballymena. (3.9 Km)
